EVALUATION OF URBAN ECOLOGICAL LEVEL BASED ON DISSIPATIVE STRUCTURE THEORY

Abstract:

City is a compound system of economysocietynature,and the urban environment is a supporting system for the sustainable development of city.Based on dissipative structure theory and Shannon entropy principle,with the calculation of ecoeconomy entropy,ecofunction entropy and urban ecosystem entropy,this paper analyzed the rule of dynamic evolvement in urban ecosystem.A quantitative model of urban ecological evaluation has been set up by the indexes of integrated development degree and harmony development degree.Taking Wuhan′s urban ecosystem from 1988 to 2004 as an example,it is found that the ecoeconomy entropy,ecofunction entropy and urban ecological entropy of Wuhan decreased with the losing of time,and the increase of urban health level;and that after a stagnant development of Wuhan′s urban ecosystem from 1988 to 1991,the degree of ecological integrated development rose annually,and the harmony development level improved continuously.A basic harmony development level has been kept for about ten years of time.
