Abstract:

Wuhan Urban Agglomeration is the comprehensive reform experimental area of resourcesaving and environmentfriendly society in China. The ecoenvironmental quality is an important guarantee to achieve sustainable development of urban agglomeration, and is also an important support to build ecourban agglomeration. This article constructed ecological conditions diagnostic indicators system of spatial expansion in Wuhan Urban Agglomeration, containing the natural resources factors, ecoenvironment factors and socioeconomic factors. The study built ecological conditions diagnosis model of the spatial expansion of urban agglomerations by using AHP model based on the entropy technical support and fuzzy membership function and analyzed the situation of ecoenvironmental quality change of spatial expansion in Wuhan Urban Agglomeration from 1997 to 2006 〖JP2〗by using the land use data, society and economy development〖JP〗 data and ecoenvironment change data. The result shows that from 1997 to 2006,the ecological conditions comprehensive evaluation index in Wuhan Urban Agglomeration decreased at the beginning and then increased slowly, which meant that with the spatial expansion and land use change in Wuhan Urban Agglomeration,the ecoenvironment quality declined at the beginning then rose later.Except Xiantao City, the ecological 〖JP2〗conditions comprehensive evaluation index in cities of Wuhan Urban Agglomeration presented〖JP〗 a slow decline trend, which meant the ecoenvironment quality declined with the spatial expansion, and this effects in nine cities of Wuhan Urban Agglomeration presented obvious spatial differences. 〖
