    The region of SuzhouWuxiChangzhou,which located the center area of the Yangtze River Delta,is called as Sunan with the social,cultural and economic depth blending.Since the reform and opening, the region gets breathtaking industrial growth.Based on the new economic geography perspective, this paper suggest that the natural condition and geographical location advantage,the localization of the historical accumulation,close to the external factors market are the industrial agglomeration of town and village industry especially initial centripetal forces.The changing of market environment and the policy makes the centripetal force switch,which leads to foreign direct investment concentration in the region.And the role of the local government,cluster and network effects become the agglomeration of foreign capital enhancement factor.Ecology deterioration of the environment, increasing of elements price conduce to the present industry spread in recent years, which propels the industrial upgrading.

    〗As a national marine economic development pilot region,the Yangtze Delta Region has become a more comprehensive system of marine industries.Four integrated comprehensive competitiveness’index item(ICCII),ten index,twentyeight factors have been constructed by means of theoretical analysis,factor analysis,analytic hierarchy process and expert consultation.A threelevel indicator system of regional marine industral competitiveness was established,which was composed by ICCII analysis and provincial level.It follows a technique route:(1) identifing index and analysis by using the combination of quantitative and qualitative methods;(2)integrating appraisal & analysis ICCII by using weightsum method.The results showed that based on the basic conditions of marine industry development in the Yangtze Delta Region,Zhejiang province is the bset,Jiangsu is better,and Shanghai is short;but at the next three ICCII,Shanghai is the best,Jiangsu nearly equal to Zhejiang.The spatial differentiation characteristics of regional marine industral competitiveness at provincial level are that Shanghai is out standing from other parts ,the expansion of the core to the periphery areas is declines from the core,but Jiangsu and Zhejiang are the wings for Shanghai.The spatial differentiation characteristics of regional marine industral competitiveness at ICCII & provincial level indicates that the marine industral were structural homogeneity and convergence,so we should integrated some production resource for marine economy of Jiangsu,Shanghai and Zhejiang to enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of the Yangtze Delta Region.Based on this,some strategies are proposed

    Based on the data of 30 provinces during 20062010 in China,the paper analyzes the variable quantity of saving efficiency and green gap of 30 provinces in China during 11·5th Plan.Conclusions are as follows. (1) Based on the regional data of unit GDP energy consumption,unit IAV energy consumption and unit GDP power consumption, the paper analyzes the regional saving efficiency during 11·5th Plan. (2) Based on the data of unit GDP energy consumption,unit IAV energy consumption and unit GDP power consumption,the paper make the standards of unit IAV energy consumption and unit GDP power consumption in ecological development.(3) Based on the formula of green gap on energy consumption,the paper analyzes the regional variable quantity of green gap and ecology realization degree.This paper evaluates the regional saving efficiency during 11·5th Plan,and at the same time,it provides the reference for the next five years to save energy and reduce consumption.

    The Oujiang River is the second biggest river in Zhejiang Province and its fish resources are very rich.But comprehensive survey of fish resources has not been made since 1972.We made an investigation of fish resources of the Oujiang River from its upstream (Chatian Town) to the downstream (Haikou Town) in 2010.1 246 fish specimens were collected,which belonged to 5 orders,14 families,46 genera and 60 species.Compared to 1972 survey results,34 species were not collected, including 4 species in the database of Chinese endangered animals:〖WTBX〗 Acipenser sinensis〖WTBZ〗, Macrura reevesii, Plecoglossus altivelis and Anguilla marmorata; and 20 species were new record, including 2 exotic fish species: Tilapia mossambica and Micropterus salmoides. We analyzed community similarity, dominant species composition, biological diversity of five sample sites,and found that the upstream fish community had higher biodiversity than the downstream.CPUE of this investigation was 45 kg/boat/day,only 25% as in 1972,which indicated that the fish resources were decline badly.     An investigation on periphyton and zoobenthos in the Xaitongmoin reach of the Yarlung Zangbo River was carried out in October and November,2008 and March and August,2009,respectively.Altogether 104 genera, 12 phyla of periphyton, 26 genera, 3 phyla of zoobenthos were collected in this study.The density and biomass of periphyton were highest in Spring,which were 1 478 501.6 ind./cm2 and 45 912.8×10-4 mg/cm2,respectively.The density and biomass of periphyton were lowest in Summer,which were 1 037.1 ind./cm2 and 457×10-4 mg/cm2,respectively.The density of zoobenthos were highest (7 706.2 ind./m2) in Autumn,and the biomass of zoobenthos were highest (128 g/m2) in Spring. Margalef’s richness index (D),ShannonWiener index (H’) and Pielou’s evenness index (J) of periphyton and zoobenthos were all highest in Summer.The most prevalent organisms within periphyton was diatoms,the principal genera were 〖WTBX〗Diatoma〖WTBZ〗 and Cymbella. The most prevalent organisms within zoobenthos was chironomid larvae.There were seasonal variations with the species and biomass of periphyton and zoobenthos in the Xaitongmoin reach of the Yarlung Zangbo River,which may be relative to the ecological factors such as water level.

    The research on temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of land use is one of important research aspects of temporal and spatial process in land change science.It is of great significance for comprehending region land resource situation and making differential competition policy of regional development.Based on the land use classification statistics,the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of land use were studied from a macro perspective of geospatial statistics by using the Theil Index.The analysis showed that the Theil Index of land use distribution was sensitive to research granularity.The larger particle size of study would ignore the detail characteristics of the spatial distribution of land use,resulting in the smaller value of Theil Index .Through the geospatial regionalization and decomposition of Theil Index,not only the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of land use were studied on the overall aspect,but also the difference of temporal and spatial distribution of land use between and inner partitions were researched according to the different levels of economic and social development.The result revealed the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of land use in Changzhou city from the aspect of spatial concentration,which was coincide with the actual situation

    In recent years,the rural residential land rearrangement has become an effective way of readjusting rural land use structure and keeping the dynamic balance of cultivated land.Meanwhile,it has been playing a more and more important role in urban and rural overall development and intensive utilization of resources.The rural residential land rearrangement has become the first choice in achieving the social economic sustainable development.The purpose of this study is to make a schedule of rural residential land rearrangement.Methods of AHP and 2D graphics cluster analysis were employed to determine the schedule of rural residential land rearrangement in Jiangsu Province.The results indicated that the scores were in an order of southern region>central region>northern region.Meanwhile,according to regional similarities,some areas suitable for development and arrangement at a large scale are formed into a combination,like the combination of Gao Chun,Li Shui and Li Yang.Through the assessment on consolidation schedule by combining 2D graphics cluster analysis,it provides scientific basis for rural residential land rearrangement plan,the selection of residential land rearrangement project and the implementation on residential land rearrangement

    〗Based on the ArcGIS software,taking the Shimen river system and Wuyi river system in Bashan Town of Zhong County,Chongqing as the study area,this paper analyzed the coupling relationship of the spatial pattern of local river systems and the landform morphological factors.The results showed that:(1)The spatial pattern of local streams were significantly affected by the rock stratigraphies.The higher grade waterways tended to be distributed in the stratigraphies with lower elevation.(2)The spatial pattern of local river systems were highly correlated with elevation,slope,the relief degree of land surface,the surface roughness and the surface cutting depth.There was a more apparent coupling relationship of the spatial pattern of local streams and the landform morphological factors in more developed river system,which led a more similar change on spatial pattern distribution in different level waterways.(3)While the Wuyi river system held 105 as the fractal dimension value,100 was Shimen river system’s.Both of them were in primary developing stage and Wuyi river system was located in a more broken surface area.Therefore,the value of the fractal dimension could be applied to judge the erosion development stage of the local geomorphology

    The bloom of water hyacinth is a common aquatic environmental problem in tropical regions.The use of water hyacinth to remove nutrients from water bodies and to produce biogas is a technologically feasible option for the control of water hyaicnth,but its environmental economic performances are not well understood.This study conducts a cost benefit analysis for the control of water hyacinth bloom using data collected from Dianchi Lake,China.Comparison was made between the project and the current approach of disposing water hyacinth by landfill.The results reveal that the project is economically feasible with a desirable energy gain.The removal of water hyacinth to produce biogas can also contribute to water quality improvement and GHG emission reduction whose values,however,depend on the processing scale of biogas plant.Since both the current approach and the proposed project can remove nutrients from water bodies,additional value of water quality improvement resulting from the project is only possible when the processing scale of the biogas plant is greater than the amount of water hyacinth disposed by landfill.The emission of methane deserves more concerns when water hyacinth is disposed by landfill.The project can be a potential option responding to China’s policies on water pollution control,renewable energy development,and energy saving and emission reduction

    The vertical distribution and seasonal variations of pore water nutrients of three typical columnar sampling sites were analyzed and compared by continual sampling and investigation in East Lake,a serious eutrophicated shallow lake in China.The results show that the highest value of pore water nutrient concentrations in East Lake sediment generally appearred in the above 5 cm,and a rapid decreasing process occurred between 5 cm to 10 cm,then it became stabilized with slight fluctuations between 10 cm to 26 cm.Nutrient concentrations in interstitial water in winter was significantly lower than other seasons,summer and fall was slightly high.It is suggested that the nutrient concentrations in sediment pore water was directly influenced by near by pollution sources,and related to that of overlying water,but not significantly.Low concentration of interstitial water nutrient pollution in the winter season,was mainly due to the decreasing of pollutant emissions which accelerated the upward diffusion of pore water nutrient to overlying water,reducing the deposition of nutrients on the surface of sediments,and the lower the temperature leading to reduced microbial activity and thus reduced the mineralization of organic matterand the amount of decomposition.Regular dredging depth can effectively remove the heavily polluted surface sediments of East Lake

     The Three Gorges Reservoir is also typical river reservoir after impoundment,and its general movement characteristics of flow and water quality conform to the movement principle of onedimensional flow and water quality.Aiming at general movement characteristics of flow and water quality in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area (TGRA),the onedimensional flow and water quality model is used to simulate the flow and water quality in the TGRA.With onedimensional flow and water quality model as the core,a serial of model services are developed and disseminated through internet using the WebServices technique.Based on those model services,the numerical simulation platform of main stream water quality within TGRA is established using mature WebGIS and RIA Flex techniques.The platform realizes the numerical simulation of the main stream flow velocity field and concentration field in TGRA,including the spatial and temporal simulation of velocity,flow,water level and pollutant concentration in every computation crosssection.Taking the mainstream QingxichangShilipu section in TGRA as case,the research simulates the flow and water quality and validates the simulation result using simultaneous observation data of hydrology and water quality in field.The result shows that the platform can be well used in the flow and water quality simulation.The platform provides a good tool to the study on the overall characteristics of the contaminant transport and diffusion,and provides the technique support to the government and local departments in water environment decision making as well

    Runoff and sediment characteristics of citrus land under vegetation measures were evaluated based on different standard runoff plots experiments from 2001 to 2008 in Jiangxi Provincial Soil and Water Conservation Ecoscience Park.Soil water conditions and their dynamics were also analyzed according to soil moisture data measured in 2010.Soil and water conservation benefits of bermudagrass 〖WTBX〗(Cynodon dactylon)〖WTBZ〗 strip covered, bermudagrass full covered and orchard clean tillage were studied.Results showed that the amount of runoff and sediment of citrus plots covered with grass was less than that of clean tillage obviously.The effects of bermudagrass strip covered was best,accounting 9821 percent in reducing runoff and 9984 percent in reducing sediment loss. In most soil depth,the soil moisture content of citrus land covered with grass strip was higest and higher than clean tillage measures;while the soil moisture of grass full covered was lower than that of grass strip covered because of water consumption caused by plant transpiration.Grass strip was an effective measure for citrus woodland soil erosion control and played a significant role on runoff and sediment reduction and the accumulation of moisture

    The Nichefitness theory is a further development of the classical niche theory and an extension of the related methods.The nichefitness model developed on the basis of niche can reflect the fitness degree of crops to environmental conditions relatively well.It can also be utilized to analyze factors restricting the growth of crops.However,there is little work on suitability evaluation especially multisuitability evaluation on tillage by applying the nichefitness theory.Under the guidance of the theory of sustainable development for Chinese agriculture,this paper aimed to use nichefitness model to assess suitability degree and limiting factors of garden land in Yiling District of Hubei Province in China.Firstly,the index system of suitability evaluation was established including 5 subgoals and 12 indices.Then,in order to normalize the measured value,indicators were categorized into numerical type,linguistic type and spatial diffusion type according to their attributes.After constructing the suitability evaluation models,the degree of suitability for garden land was classified into 4 levels,where the nichefitness value ranged from 0372 to 0893 with a maximum of 0893;one level and two level were predominant portions with their areas accounting for 6292 percent of the total.Four level with lower suitability and quality accounted for 643 percent of the total.The soil texture,average temperature of the coldest month and accessibility of road were the primary limiting factors and important issues of agriculture management.The results can be used as a quantitative basis in evaluation of garden land quality and resolution of the land reasonable utilization in this region.On the other hand,the research can extended and deepened theory and methodology of traditional land suitability evaluation subject

    Scientifically evaluating natural suitability for human settlement and defining function zones of population development will promote coordinated regional development between population,resources and environment.In this paper,terrain,hydrology,vegetation and hazard natural factors were selected to build the livable environmental evaluation, and the quantitative analysis was conducted through Remote Sensing(RS) and Geographic Informational System (GIS) to reveal geographical characteristics and spatial patterns.The results are obtained as follows.(1) The index of nature suitability for human settlement in Wanzhou region was between 1642 and 8460.(2) In general,nature suitability for human settlement decreased from central to northwest to southeast.The index of nature suitability for human settlement is closely related to the terrain and the water.(3) Considering area,the moderate suitable region ranked first,accounting for about 31% of the total area of Wanzhou region; and the common suitable region ranked second, about 2481% of the total; and the unsuitable area ranked last, only about 95%.On the other hand,the population of the region was concentrated in regions with higher nature suitability.About 7713% of Wanzhou's population was concentrated in grade one of common suitable region and above that level.Spatial distribution of population was profoundly affected by nature suitability for human settlement in Wanzhou district

    The indoor thermal environment of university buildings and residence in Chongqing were studied with the ways of investigation and testing,530 valid questionnaires were obtained.The linear regression was applied to analyze the relations of effective temperature and mean thermal sensation.The results showed that neutral effective temperature was 255℃ and the thermal and humid comfort ranges was 226℃—266℃ in temperature,and the ranges have been compared with others.The difference between predicted thermal sensation and measured thermal sensation was analyzed.Then taking typical residence as an example,an evaluation about improving indoor thermal environment with fan was illustrated.The results provide references for evaluating thermal comfort in naturally conditioned spaces and scientific foundation for perfecting thermal comfort standards.It also has instructive significance to improve indoor thermal environment with fan and reduce energy consumption of building

    In order to balance the conflict between the economic development and the environmental protection in river basin and downstream, to solve the problems of limited compensation of reliance on government spending, market mechanisms are attempted to introduce into ecocompensation in local watershed in many parts of China. A large number of marketbased compensation cases are appearing in around.They become a useful exploration and an important supplement of ecocompensation in small watershed.To protect the health development and efficient operation of ecosystem service market,studying of its management system is particularly important.In view of this,the management practices of the international markets for ecosystem services are summarized in the article.Then,the management practices,policies and legal systems associated ecological compensation are reviewed,in Chinese current watershed.From the three levels of management policies, the legal system and the three levels of market mechanisms, the framework of management system for ecosystem services market of China is designed.

    Based on meteorological observational data,NCEP reanalysis data and cloud pictures of FY2C,the occurring and developing mechanism of a MCC event on Nov. 9,2010 was analyzed. The results show that the MCC occurred in a ground warm inverted trough.The moving eastward of a low trough at 500 hpa,the development and moving eastward of a low vortex at 850 hpa and the weak cold front caused by the moving southward of the cold air on the boundary layer provided favorable environmental conditions for the formation of MCC.The MCC occurred in the convective unstable area where the low energy tongue in the middle troposphere overlapped with the high energy tongue in the lower troposphere.Upperlevel divergence, low level convergence and the coupling of the strong vorticity column and divergence column was the main dynamical mechanism of the MCC development and maintenance.During the developing and mature stage of the MCC,the atmosphere was unstable layer which strengthened with the rainfall and appeared the feature of wet neutral vertical motion in the middle and lower troposphere levels.In the mature stage, the wind direction in the MCC center with strong wind shear shifted clockwise with the height and the MCC had the structural characteristics of supercell storm

    Unascertained measure theory and AHP methods are combined and then applied to evaluate the hazard assessment of debris flow.According to influence factors and grading standards of hazard assessment of debris flow,ten indicators,such as selected debris flow scale,occurrence frequency of debris flow ,drainage area,length of main ditches,maximum relative altitude in drainage area,incising density,bending coefficient of major ditch bed,length proportion of debris supplement section,maximum rainfall in 24 hours and population density,etc,were used to evaluate debris flow hazard.Unascertained measure functions of evaluation of hazard assessment of debris flow were obtained by using unascertained measure theory.Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) were used to calculate weights of the evaluation indices of hazard assessment of debris flow.Credible degree recognition criteria were used to evaluate hazard assessment of debris flow.Finally,the comparative analysis was made with examples.The results show that unascertained measure theory is reasonable and reliable;and it is a new method for evaluating hazard assessment of debris flow
