Abstract: Evaluation of ecosystem service's value could provide some reference for quantitative benefit analysis of ecological project. The ecoecological benefit of the planned first stage ecological project in the water source protection zone for eastern route of Southtonorth Water Transfer Project was quantitatively evaluated in the paper from the angle of ecological service value and construction cost. Based on the wellaccepted quantitative evaluation methods of ecosystem service's value, and according to the land use change, the ecological service's value annually added of the ecological construction project was evaluated about 128 160 000 Yuan, and the adjusted result was 4 229 000 Yuan according to the adjustment of regional development phase coefficient. The annual cost of the ecological construction project was about 7 930 000 Yuan on the basis of opportunity analysis. Results showed that the anticipated ecoeconomic benefit of the project was obvious, and the adjusted ecosystem service's value added annually was 5.3 times larger than the cost.
